At the moment Iraqi dinars are not trading on the World Currency Market so Banks won’t deal with Iraqi dinars. Once Iraqi dinars start trading on the World Currency Market then LOCAL BANKS will be exchanging dinars just like any other currency.
It all has to do with economic recovery on the ground, foreign forces are planning to leave Iraq at the end of 2011. INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES are working on major oil, gas & electricity projects. International hotel chains are in negotiations with the Iraqi government. Once Iraq’s economy starts improving that’s when we will see rise in the dinar price.
It is a long term investment but nobody knows for certain how long, it all depends how fast the economy improves on the ground.
